Guard, patrol, K9 or CCTV tower: which does your site need?
A simple guide to choosing the right security for your site, from a static officer to a dog unit or a solar CCTV tower.

The right security depends on four things: how big the site is, when it is empty, what is worth stealing, and whether there is power on site. Here is how we help clients choose.
A static security officer
Best when people and vehicles come and go and someone needs to control the gate or reception. The officer checks visitors and vehicles, keeps logs, patrols the site and deals with problems on the spot. Day, night or 24/7. Static security guards
Mobile patrols
Best for smaller sites, empty buildings or several units on one estate that don't need an officer all the time. An officer visits at varied times, checks doors, fences and lighting, locks or unlocks, and sends a report after every visit. Mobile patrols
A K9 unit
Best for large, open or empty sites such as construction compounds, yards, depots and solar farms. A NASDU-certified handler and trained dog cover ground much faster than an officer alone and are a strong, visible deterrent. Day, night or 24/7. K9 security dogs
A CCTV tower
Best for sites with no power and no one on site, or where a full-time guard costs more than the risk. A solar-powered tower watches the site 24/7, warns intruders by speaker, and an SRS officer or dog unit is sent when needed. CCTV tower hire
Often the answer is a mix
Many sites work best with a combination: a static officer on the gate by day, a K9 unit at night, or a CCTV tower backed by mobile patrols. Our free site survey looks at your site and tells you honestly what will work.
